At Pjrmicro LTD we have a long history in both the communications and computer industries with over 20 years experience. This includes working for large computer manufacturers and a large Business ISP in an advanced technical support role. With the opening of 1 Stop Tech Shop we have added to our ex
pertise with the addition of a new member of staff, who trained at Philips Components in Blackburn and who can fix pretty much anything we place in his care.
Immediately previous to the formation of PJR Micro LTD I operated a retail computer shop in Wigan in conjunction with another business partner. I however felt that due to the large overhead costs, the relatively small size of the shop facilities and my commitments to business customers that I was unable to provide the kind of service required by a large proportion of customers. The Retail unit was therefore sold on to my previous business partner. PJR Micro Ltd has been operating from offices within a converted former spinning mill and due to considerable interest from domestic clients we have been evaluating a number of retail units over the past couple of months. This retail unit consists of a large retail shop with a fully fitted service bay and offices for PJR Micro with scope for future expansion. 1 Stop Tech Shop opened it's doors on the 1st July 2007. Due to continued expansion we have now re-located to a much larger premises in Wigan.
Research
After considerable market research the main conclusion that we came to was that consumers had a poor perception of the computer industry as a whole. The main complaints being with regards to the impartiality and poor support offered by many of the large computer retailers and support organizations. Another complaint was the high cost of obtaining reasonable support often lengthy calls to support staff who were unable to resolve a lot of customer issues.
Other areas of complaint included the unwillingness of retailers to offer custom solutions to match customer requirements instead only offering off the shelf products as a best match scenario.
We also found from research that there are a number of 'computer shopsin wigan and elsewhere' and 'computer people' who were percieved to offer a very poor service to customers, both domestic and commercial.
Aims
As a company our aim is to offer expert and expedient solutions to suit customer requirements, at the same time ensuring that these are offered at a fair price.
We want to offer solutions to customers that suit their requirements instead of offering 'off the peg one size fits all' type solutions.

We have a fully stocked accessory shop and are constantly expanding the range with new and innovative products to ensure that we are a 1 Stop solutions for all things electronic.
We offer sales, servicing and repairs of all types of PC and Apple Mac computers and peripherals.
By our close ties with and compliance with the codes of practise of several industry organisations we can offer a large range of additional services from the ability to source pretty much any component available to business leasing and financing at an apr well below high street finance prices, as well as a full range of keenly priced warranty services*.
