Computer cases have come a long way from the old Beige and grey cases. Most modern cases are available in a mixture of black or silver. Gamer case also come in various bright colours such as blue, green and red. There are also various shades of pink for the young ladies.
Cases come in a variety of sizes from very large to very compact. The main types are :-
Micro – these tend to have specialist mainboards due to their size. A good example of these type of cases or computers is the asus pundit.
Mini-Tower -Smallest of the standard cases. This are very good if you are restricted for space but can be difficult to work with due to space restrictions. Other considerations are also whether these allow sufficient space for cooling for some of todays processors which can run quiet hot.
Midi-Tower – These are ideal for most needs as they allow suffiecient rooms for cooling, expansion and workability. These are the most common type.
Full-Tower – These tend to be reserved for servers or where a lot of expansion is required i.e. for double or triple graphics card games pc’s.
Cases can range in price from £20 up to £500. Some come with power supplies and some do not.
